Piqua Harley-Davidson® Community Involvement

Piqua Harley-Davidson® is a strong supporter of many local organizations and charities. We are proud of our city, state, nation, churches, law enforcement, military there are just too many to list. Just a few of our partners are highlighted here:

  • 2018 Piqua Bikefest - Piqua Bikefest likes to give back to the community. Pictured are the 2018 community donation recipients.

  • Community Involvement
  • Rehab Center - The Rehabilitation Center for Neurological Development and Nicholas School is a local organization that provides neurologically based physical, visual and cognitive exercises individually designed to increase function and stimulate usage of sensory motor pathways. They have the ability to help people who face immensely challenging physical and mental impairments, kids who just need some help concentrating to improve in their school work, and everything in between. It's hard to find a family in the area who hasn't been helped in some way by the Rehab Center. Our H.O.G.® Chapter has chosen the Rehab Center as their beneficiary of our annual charity poker run for many years. They are a very worthy organization and so thankful for any support. They even had t-shirts printed up that say "We love bikers" to wear at our events!

  • Community Involvement
  • MDA - in 2008, 2009 and 2010 we proudly hosted the Miami County MDA Lock Up. At a time when many charities are struggling to meet their goals, the generous people of Miami county stepped up and made a big difference. Employees and friends of Piqua H-D® can also be seen manning the phones during the MDA telethon on Labor Day weekend.

  • Community Involvement
  • Toys for Tots - Every Christmas since 2007 we've been a drop-off point for Toys for Tots.

Ohio National Guard and Family Readiness Group - There are two National Guard units in Piqua. One is the 1-134th Field Artillary Bravo Battery and the other is the 1487th Transporation Co., also known as the "Iron Camels." Bravo Battery was deployed to Kuwait in 2008 and Afghanistan in 2012. The Iron Camels were the deployed to Afghanistan in 2013. In each of these deployments we worked with the Readiness Officer and the unit's Family Readiness Group to make sure the soldier's knew that the folks back home were thinking of them and thankful for their sacrifice. Our efforts included having customers sign an H-D® flag or banner to send to the soldiers while on deployment, a post card writing campaign, sending filled Christmas stockings to the soldiers and fund raising that supported their home coming celebrations. We respect and honor all active duty and retired military personnel, but we have a special relationship with these two units and we are so very proud of our hometown heros! We even dedicated one of our custom t-shirt backs to them!

Community Blood Center - We have been hosting blood drives at some of our dealership events for a number of years and became a Silver partner in the Lifesaving Ambassador's Club in 2013. The CBC loves to come to our events because our customers are always fun and very generous about giving blood. We have partnered with the CBC twice to give away bikes to blood donors in the summer months!

Hearts Desire - Heartland of Piqua is a nursing home just around the corner from our dealership. They have a program called "Hearts Desire" in which their residents are granted wishes. We have coordinated motorcycle rides for two lovely ladies with this program as well as allowing them to use our lot for a hot air balloon launch. Our H.O.G.® Chapter has also done rides to various nursing homes in the community.

Police Bikes - in 2008 we sold bikes to both the Darke County and Miami County Sheriff's Departments. It is a privilege to work so closely with local law enforcement and see them promoting the value of our product and our brand.

Harley®'s Heroes™ - Harley®'s Heroes™ is a program that program provides in-community services to veterans of all ages in communities where they live by supporting the programs of Disabled American Veterans. Piqua H-D® hosted its first Harley®'s Heroes™ event in 2008 and welcomed them back every year at their Military Appreciation/Hero Day. We enjoy being able to talk with many of the veterans and let them know how much we appreciate their service and sacrifice for our freedom!

Military Sales - Harley-Davidson® has a purchase program for our servicemen and women who are stationed overseas. They take delivery of their bikes stateside, and we're proud to be one of the dealers designated for delivery of bikes to these fine men and women of the Armed Forces.
